Lucy’s blog: I am the best at catching fish in our family
Lots of places, Brazil
We arrived in Party after Rio. In Party we went on a boat trip around some islands. The boat stopped and we jumped off the boat to go swimming. It was really fun. I could see lots of the scenery from the boat.
Then we moved to Caraguatatuba where we went on a hike up a mountain. There were water crossings where we stood on stepping stones to get across. At the top there was an area where we could swim in the river, but some parts of the river had yucky seaweed! There was also a water fall. When we got back down, I was drenched and not just because of going swimming, but because I also fell in at the water crossings
The next day we went to Sao Paulo where we went to lots of the markets. We had to go to the Doctor for my sister but she is all better now.
They made us wear bike helmets to go into the caves Our caving faces
Then we headed to Bonito and we went caving, climbed bridges and went on a super flying fox. After that we went snorkelling. I could see all the beautiful fish. A few days later we got to the Pantanal. I saw all sorts of birds. We went piranha fishing and I caught 2 piranhas! Though after I caught them, the man helped me let them go again as their teeth are sharp.
The next day we went on a 2 hour hike. I saw parrots, raccoons and howler monkeys. That night we went on a boat ride where we were super lucky because we saw a baby jaguar. We were the first people to see a jaguar in 2020 from the lodge we were staying at. There were lots of caiman too.
The next day we went on another boat tour and saw otters, water pigs and a sting ray. Then we had a little swim in the water but the animals did not hurt me. There were even caiman in the water too!
A few days later we returned to Sao Paulo again. I made a squishy of a parrot I saw in the Pantanal. We are here for another few days so I will write more after that
Love from Lucy. xoxo
Lucy,
You are so lucky not to go to school. I really miss you a lot. It’s so cool that you get to see all the cute animals and catch piranhas. It sounds like you’re having a great time.
Love from,
Rosie

Hi Rosie I do still have to do school work and in a few days we will have the camper so I will have more work to do. I spend 2-3 hours a day on school work and I do school work on the weekend. I miss you.
